Psychotherapy and Mind-Body Healing
Daybreak therapy professionals are extensively trained in both psychotherapy and mind-body healing. We are committed to integrating both clinical hypnosis and mindfulness into the professional therapy process.
We view clinical hypnosis as a powerful complementary tool to be used in psychotherapy and professional counselling. We believe that trance work is the most sacred of all the healing arts, and it should be honoured as a highly individualized process for gently awakening an internal “healer’s consciousness.” Hypnosis is not a magic bullet, nor is it a cure for anything. There is, however, a great deal of scientific research behind its efficacy for many psychological and physical health conditions.
"We believe that trance work is the most sacred of all the healing arts, and it should be honoured as a highly individualized process for gently awakening healer’s consciousness."
We specialize in the application of clinical hypnosis and mind-body medicine in our work with anxiety and panic related conditions, depression, addictions, and trauma. We also train our clients in utilizing self-hypnosis to access and transform unconscious forces (including limiting beliefs, thought patterns and behaviours) that may be getting in the way of liberated potential.
Hypnotherapy is a powerful treatment modality, especially when combined with best practices in evidence-based psychotherapy. A growing body of research now validates this. Clinical Counselling Hypnotherapy (the integration of hypnotherapy into clinical counselling services) can be highly effective for pain reduction, stress, anxiety, acute distress and a range of medical issues. It is unfortunate that so many have distorted views of hypnosis. In the therapeutic relationship, unlike in the entertainment industry, clients access a peaceful state of internal focused concentration, which allows for creative insight, perception-shifting and self-directed healing. This state of focused concentration is not unlike the brain wave state that is achieved in deep meditation.
We have used clinical hypnosis in conjunction with integrative psychotherapy to assist thousands of clients in the following areas:
